The presentation about intercultural communication was interesting and honestly one of the most useful presentations I saw because it talks about situations that happen every day in real life. I enjoyed how the presentation explained culture not only as traditions or language but also as the shared values, beliefs, and norms that guide people’s behavior. It made the topic feel deeper and more meaningful because it showed how communication and culture are always intertwined. I also liked how the presentation explained that culture is transmitted and changed through communication, since the way people speak, and interact can perform a cultural exchange with others around them over time.

What I found the most interesting was the explanation of dominant cultures and co-cultures. The examples about race, ethnicity, religion, age, language, and socioeconomic status helped me understand how people can belong to many different cultural groups at the same time. The idea of mutual exchange was also something I found relatable because many people change the way they speak or act depending on who they are around. I think this section was important because it helped explain how cultural identity can affect communication and how people see themselves in society.

Another thing I enjoyed was learning about the different cultural dimensions such as individualism and collectivism, context communication, and power distance. The comparison between high-context and low-context cultures especially stood out to me because it showed how misunderstandings can happen even when people have good intentions. Some cultures communicate very directly while others rely more on context and relationships. This made me realize how important it is to stay patient and open-minded when talking to people from different backgrounds.

The presentation also did a good job explaining barriers to intercultural communication like stereotyping, ethnocentrism, anxiety, and incompatible norms. I liked that the presentation did not only point out problems, but also gave solutions and communication strategies to improve intercultural competence. The ideas about practicing empathy, listening carefully, tolerating ambiguity, and developing flexibility were very valuable because those skills can help people communicate better in school, work, and daily life.

I really enjoyed this presentation because it was clear, organized, and easy to connect to real life experiences. It helped me better understand how culture affects communication and why being respectful and open-minded is important when interacting with others from different cultures, specially living in such a diverse population like that of Miami.

The presentation regarding communicating in groups was very engaging and enjoyable because it explained how important groups are in everyday life and how communication affects the way groups function. I liked how the presentation started by defining a group as people who work together toward a common purpose, because it made the topic simple and easy to understand from the beginning. The examples of different types of groups such as families, social groups, support groups, work groups, and virtual groups also made the presentation feel relatable since everyone is involved in different groups throughout their life.

The thing I enjoyed the most was the section about healthy groups and teamwork. The presentation explained how healthy groups need ethical goals, accountability, and cohesiveness. I found this important because many times groups fail due to lack of communication or effort from members. The idea of synergy also stood out to me because it showed how a group working together can achieve more than a person working alone. I also liked how the presentation explained that trust and teamwork are built over time through communication and collaboration.

Another section I found very useful was the stages of group development. The presentation explained the stages of forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning in a clear way. I especially found the storming stage interesting because conflict is something that almost every group experiences. The explanation of groupthink was also important because it showed how groups can make poor decisions if nobody speaks up or challenges ideas.

I really enjoyed this presentation as a whole because it was organized, easy to follow, and connected well to real life group experiences. It helped me better understand how communication affects teamwork, relationships, and problem solving within groups. I also liked that the presentation not only explained problems that groups face, but also gave strategies to improve communication and manage conflict effectively.

The presentation on the topic of group leadership and problem solving was very engaging and enjoyable because it explained how leadership functions within teams and how communication shapes the way groups operate. I liked how the presentation began by defining leadership as a process of influencing others toward a shared goal, because it made the topic feel clear and easy to understand from the start. The distinction between formal leaders and informal emergent leaders also made the content relatable, since most people have experienced both types in school, work, or personal settings.

What I enjoyed the most was the section on shared leadership functions. The explanation of task, maintenance, and procedural roles helped me see how leadership is not limited to one person but is instead a collection of responsibilities that group members share. I found the examples, like givers, seekers, harmonizers, and gatekeepers especially helpful because they showed how each role contributes to group progress and cohesion. It reminded me how often groups succeed or fail based on communication rather than the difficulty of the task itself.

I also found the guidelines for running effective meetings very useful. The presentation clearly explained what leaders should do before, during, and after meetings, and I appreciated how practical these steps were. The emphasis on preparing agendas, monitoring interaction, and summarizing decisions helped me understand how structure supports productivity.

At last I really enjoyed this presentation as a whole because it was easy to follow, and connected well to real-life teamwork experiences. It helped me better understand how communication influences leadership, decision making, and group dynamics. I do feel a little unsure whether I conveyed all the information as clearly as I hoped, but I still appreciated how meaningful and relevant the content was.
